Квакери, Друзі України, подякували Тілу Гейгеру та Кейт Брейтвейт за нові книжки для нашої бібліотеки, молилися за успіх мирних переговорів, припинення російської агресії та кінець принесення в жертву людських життів ідолам війни та армії: вибирай життя, щоб жити тобі й дітям твоїм (Повторення Закону 30:19). Через продовження гонінь на віруючих та анонімний вкид законопроекту про альтернативну невійськову службу, який не відповідає міжнародним стандартам, було сказано правду про аморальність приготувань до вічної війни, примусового зменшення числа сумлінних відмовників та їх експлуатації військовою диктатурою. Було оголошено намір нагадати у листі Президенту Зеленському обов’язок націй вирішувати конфлікти без війни і запропонувати створити для виконання цього обов’язку цивільну службу невійськового захисту миру в Україні та світі під керівництвом сумлінних відмовників, звільнених від військового обліку та служби, які не тільки виконуватимуть необхідну роботу для стійкості публічного та приватного секторів економіки перед загрозами миру та добробуту нації, але й чинитимуть ненасильницький спротив будь-якій агресії та будуватимуть справедливий демократичний мир в Україні та в усьому світі. Невійськові захисники України (мирні захисники миру), до числа яких повинен мати можливість долучитися шляхом відкритої добровільної реєстрації сумлінних відмовників кожен бажаючий замість служби в армії, повинні мати належну повагу суспільства за свою важку та почесну мирну працю, особливо небезпечну в умовах ненасильницького спротиву війні та іншим загрозам демократичному миру. Це має бути самостійна єдина національна цивільна установа з місією мирного служіння суспільству, добре організована у співпраці між державою та організаціями сумлінних відмовників, не підпорядкована інтересам війни та командуванню військових та демократично керована сумлінними відмовниками на засадах дисципліни ненасильницьких дій. Для виконання альтернативної невійськової служби сумлінні відмовники мають проходити необхідну підготовку та отримувати відповідну винагороду за службу, гарантії соціального захисту та можливість просування по ненасильницькій службі захисту України до її найвищих керівних ланок.
Quakers, Friends of Ukraine, thanked Till Geiger and Keith Braithwaite for new books for our library, prayed for the success of peace negotiations, an end to Russian aggression, and an end to the sacrifice of human lives to the idols of war and the army: choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19). Due to the continued persecution of believers and the anonymous leak of a bill on alternative non-military service, which does not meet international standards, the truth was told about the immorality of preparations for eternal war, the violent reduction of the number of conscientious objectors, and their exploitation by the military dictatorship. The intention was announced to remind President Zelensky in a letter of the duty of nations to resolve conflicts without war and to propose the creation of a civilian service for the non-military protection of peace in Ukraine and the world to fulfill this duty under the leadership of conscientious objectors, exempt from military registration and service, who will not only perform the necessary work for the stability of the public and private sectors of the economy in the face of threats to peace and the well-being of our nation, but will also engage people in nonviolent resistance to any aggression and build-up of a just democratic peace in Ukraine and throughout the world. Non-military defenders of Ukraine (peaceful defenders of peace), among whom anyone who wishes should have the opportunity to join through open voluntary registration of conscientious objectors instead of serving in the army, must have due respect from society for their hard and honorable peaceful work, especially dangerous in conditions of non-violent resistance to war and other threats to democratic peace. It should be an independent, united national civilian institution with a mission of peaceful service to society, well-organized in cooperation between the state and conscientious objector organizations, not subordinated to the interests of war and military command, and democratically managed by conscientious objectors on the principles of the discipline of nonviolent action. To perform alternative non-military service, conscientious objectors should undergo the necessary training and receive appropriate remuneration for their service, guarantees of social protection, and the opportunity to advance through the non-violent defense service of Ukraine to its highest leadership levels.
